This WordPress Plugin is not what you think. It's not really about what Seth Godin would do. The plugin was inspired by advice that Seth Godin provides to his readers. It uses cookies to determine new and returning visitors to your site and shows a message to them accordingly.

Once you’ve installed the plugin and activated it, you can access it via “Settings” on the left menu of your WordPress dashboard.
First, you'll want to set a message for new visitors:

You can change the # of times someone is considered new from the default of five to whatever you want. I chose 3 but you could make it 1 or 9999.
I think it's a great idea to change the message once they're no longer considered new. You can do this by copying what's in the “Message to New Visitors:” box and pasting it into the “Message to New Visitors” box and then revising it.
I changed mine to say:
Hey, did you check out our acclaimed web design yet? If not, please do!
You should be seeing one of the two messages at the top of this post!
