If they want to delete it, they can at any time. And yes, this has happened to people! Imagine if you have been writing a blog for years on a free provider and they deleted it. All of your hard work gone in a flash. That doesn’t sound so appealing, does it?
Owning your own website helps you establish your brand. When you own your own website on your own domain, you get to choose the layout design and colors that you want. This helps you establish your brand as a business owner. PLUS, you can choose to display ads to help you monetize your site.
It’s easier to get started than you think. Starting a website or blog is not complicated, and it’s much more affordable today than in the past. You can buy a domain (your website address www.something.com) for less than $15 per year. You will need web hosting to put your website on the Internet (not optional, you must have a host). All that is left is the design. There are many professional web designers out there and you can definitely find one to fit your budget.
